What Property Tax exemptions does the City provide? |
The City provides a 20% Homestead exemption. This is the maximum exemption allowable under state law. The City also provides Senior Citizen and Disabled Citizen exemptions of $35,000. |
What is the City’s sales tax rate? |
The State of Texas levies a sales tax of 6.25% on all purchases statewide. The City of Hurst levies an additional 2%, making the total tax rate 8.25% for all goods purchased in the City of Hurst. |
